Enstrumental, Chicago-Based Clothing Line Releases Obama ’08 T-Shirt, Targeting Young, Fashion-Forward Voters

CHICAGO, IL –June 8, 2007 – Enstrumental, a Chicago-based clothing line, shows its support for Obama and desire for political change with the release of their special edition Obama ’08 t-shirt. Founded by Dwamina K. Drew and Christopher Coutee-Bouyer in July 2006, the clothing line features products that carry a positive message with the desire to reach beyond the expectations of the masses. As t-shirts have become a huge form of self-expression amongst youth culture, Enstrumental hopes their stylish, Obama tees will excite and encourage political participation through fashion.

The t-shirts, available for men and women, feature a caricature image of Obama with the words, “Audacity is the Ladder, Climb with the Steps of Hope” on the front and “Dream Think Create… “NOW” on the back. On the left shoulder is OBAMA with the “0” & the “8” transposed in the “O” & “B” on the back.

“We’ve created this t-shirt not only to support Obama and his campaign, but also with the hopes of sparking a change in the way the younger generation views and participates in politics”, states co-founder, Dwamina K. Drew, “Fashion is important to the consumer and we are leveraging style to promote political advocacy.” Enstrumental is also supporting the Obama campaign directly, by donating 8% of t-shirt sales to the campaign.
